BioSA is specialized in hosting academic events that caters to the needs of undergraduate students. From course review sessions to networking events, BioSA does it all! BioSA individually hosts many events as well as collaborate with other clubs and organizations along with the Department of Biology at the University of Toronto Scarborough.

Research and Networking Session

Are you looking to conduct research in the summer? Would you like more information on how to obtain a position?

BioSA is hosting an information session about summer research opportunities (at hospitals, other research institutions associated with U of T, summer research studentship awards) followed by panel discussion (panel consists of UTSC students who will speak about their research experiences at hospitals, other institutes & UTSC) & mix and mingle with panelists. The information session will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in IC 200.

FLR Help Session

In partnership with the Writing Centre, BioSA will be holding a help session for the BIOA01 Formal Lab report on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.

Writing instructors, librarians, statistics TAs and upper year biology students will be present to answer questions related to the FLR. As this is one of the more challenging assignments of BIOA01, students should take advantage of this resource.
